What was the highlight of Montaldo Castle & Resort
Would not go back with kids.
Good breakfast, nice quiet location, beautiful surroundings. War and comfortable bedrooms. Very clean and tidy. The garden and the castle are well kept and cared for.
Lunch options are very limited, especiallz for kids. As there are no restaurants within walking distance, this turns out to be a problem. The Castle is beautiful, but decoration is a bit tacky. The bathroom in our bedroom was a bit old, with curtains instead of a glass box. The ambience music is overall, so zou listen to it even in the bedrooms, which can be a bit annoying. During the night it is quieter, although the lights from outside interfered.

Nothing lux about the hotel
The location and that management was open to feedback and took responsibility after a terrible experience
The room was INSANELY hot and the front desk didn’t offer any assistance to fix it, the bed was very uncomfortable with 2 super flat pillows, the Spa facilities are very disappointing, the breakfast buffet offered poor quality food

Beautiful setting
My Partner forgot her ring in the bathroom as she removed it while in the shower as always, we left and once she realized we turned around and drove 120km back because the hotel didn’t answer. Once we got back the failed to recover the ring. There is no doubt that it was left there
